Daniel L. Kapp, M.D.

Dr. Kapp is an accomplished, board-certified plastic surgeon committed to providing the highest levels of patient care and treatment.

Daniel L. Kapp was born and raised in Miami. He graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. He completed medical school at the University of South Florida and Plastic Surgery Residency at the Ohio State University. He was the Anastasi Fellow in Plastic Surgery at Boston University. In 2004 Dr. Kapp returned to Florida, where he opened his private practice in West Palm Beach. He performs many types of plastic and reconstructive surgeries, focusing on breast reconstruction, breast enhancement, body contouring, facial rejuvenation and skin cancer reconstruction. He is the Chief of Surgery at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center. He also served as the Medical Director of the Wound Center at Jupiter Medical Center.

Dr. Kapp is highly regarded nationally for his expertise in wound care management utilizing advanced biologics and cutting edge technology. He has served as an advisor to a number of pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers. Dr. Kapp is involved in leading clinical trials and innovative research that will provide more advanced technologies to facilitate healing chronic wounds in patients today.

Dr. Kapp currently resides in Jupiter, Florida with his wife and three children. He loves spending time with his family and enjoys cycling.

Laura Pfendler, PT, DPT, CWS

Dr. Pfendler is a licensed physical therapist specializing in wound care and lymphedema management and committed to providing personalized quality care with compassion.

A native South Floridian born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Dr. Pfendler graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Studio Art. She attended Nova Southeastern University earning a Master of Science in Physical Therapy with honors. Dr. Pfendler completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Nova Southeastern University and was elected into the Nu Sigma Upsilon Chapter of The Alpha Eta Society. She is a board certified wound specialist and Diplomate of the American Board of Wound Management.

Dr. Pfendler has over 20 years of experience practicing advanced wound care and lymphedema management. She previously was the Director of Wound Care at a large Level I Trauma Hospital for 15 years. She was responsible for growing the outpatient program and developing the inpatient wound management program with a focus on prevention of hospital acquired pressure injuries and managing extensive traumatic wounds. Dr. Pfendler has also developed inpatient wound programs for one of the largest hospital systems in the United States.

Dr. Pfendler resides in Wellington, Florida and has a passion for horses competing in equestrian show jumping and enjoys yoga and crossfit.

Sharon Vitale, APRN, MSN

Sharon Vitale, APRN, has diverse expertise in both dermatology and advanced wound care. She graduated with honors from Stony Brook University in NY, where she received her Masters of Science in Nursing degree. Sharon worked as a wound care specialist for many years in the South Florida area and joined American Mobile Dermatology in 2016. Sharon currently practices in West Palm, Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter and Wellington.
